Antonija Flak
Ms Antonija Flak graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Ljubljana. She passed the patent attorney exam at then still common Institute for Intellectual Property in Belgrade. Later, she obtained the title European Patent Attorney, and when Slovenia joined the European Union, she also became an attorney for trademarks and designs before the EUIPO, which primarily handles protection of trademarks and designs for the entire area of the European Union. She has more than 30 years of experience in all areas of intellectual property. She specializes in drafting and prosecution of patent applications, infringement cases and oppositions. Matjaž Vezjak
Mr Matjaz Vezjak graduated from the Faculty of Economics and Business, the University of Maribor and immediately after graduation started working in Patentni biro AF d.o.o. He soon passed the trademark and design attorney exam at the Slovenian Intellectual Property Office, which allows him to act as a Slovenian and European trademark and design attorney. He is a member of the Association of Slovenian Patent Attorneys. Matjaž is mostly dealing with trademarks and designs, prior art searches, maintenance of rights and validations of European patents.
Maja Borić Vezjak
Dr Maja Boric Vezjak has a Batchelor as well as a PhD degree in microbiology, both obtained at Biotechnical Faculty, University of Ljubljana. Soon after defending her PhD thesis she joined the Patentni biro AF d.o.o. team and passed the patent attorney exam at the Slovenian Intellectual Property Office in 2014, which allows her to act as a Slovenian patent attorney and as a Slovenian and European trademark and design attorney. In 2018 she passed the European qualifying examination (EQE), hence she can represent clients before the European Patent Office (EPO) as well. She is mostly engaged with drafting patent applications, state of the art analysis, prosecution of European patent applications, oppositions to trademark applications and patents, as well as translations of patent-related documents. She is a member of the Association of Slovenian Patent Attorneys and the European Patent Institute (EPI).
